In the short period that this particular table saw has been on the market, it is clear that it is not your average power tool. The sales have been good, which is no surprise as the DCS7485T1 is a beautifully compact and cordless table saw. It makes use of balanced power and portability. At only 48 pounds in weight and a no-load speed of 5800 rpm, you can blast plywood among other timber sizes with ease.

Blade size decides how deep can the wood log be cut and in different positions how well the product can protrude through the wood logs. Sometimes it does lead to confusion like is 10 inch better or 8 ¼ inch better, the answer is 10 inch is most suitable for professionals for work sites which involves heavy wood work and 8 ¼ inch would be preferable by home owners and DIYer’s. Hope this would be of help for the consumers to decide which Dewalt model would be suitable for them based on blade size.

Our review of DeWalt table saws focused on two models that are very, very similar and one that harkens great advancements in the tool line that sadly has yet to fully come to fruition. The DWE7491RS and DW745 are very similar. The 7491 is slightly more powerful but also slightly heavier and both have miter gauges that should be replaced when purchasing the saws themselves. But the differences are slight enough that our choice of top pick comes down to the 7491’s larger rip capacity. That’s something that won’t affect a lot of people very often, so if your dollars are tight, you can go with a better for-dollar value with the DW745.
If you’re working out of your garage, you may not have room for a full-size, standalone table saw. There are several tabletop models available that provide a smaller (and typically less expensive) alternative with the same wood-cutting capabilities. However, if you do have room for a full-size model, these are generally more versatile and powerful.

There are two types of motors used in table saws: universal motors and induction motors. With a universal motor, the power source is linked directly to the blade, providing a whole lot of power. The downside is that these models are generally quite loud. Induction motors, on the other hand, are connected to a belt that then transfers power to the blade. As a result, you get quieter operation and the ability to cut dense materials. The downside is that these models require more preventive maintenance, as you have to adjust the belt’s tension periodically.
The built-in stand sets this saw apart from competitors since it is actually quite stable out of the box and doesn’t require a custom stand or supports to combat vibration, which are often necessary with cheaper and lighter units. DeWalt sells a nearly identical saw with a less robust stand, and after viewing it in a big box store, I was glad to have this one.

There are a couple of other options, as well. There are hybrid table saws, which fall solidly between a cabinet saw and a job site saw. For crafters, it might be worth it to look into a mini saw, which measures only a few inches and has moving parts. These saws are mostly used for model building, but they can also be put to use in woodworking projects.

But, that’s also a pretty minor thing in the larger scheme of things. And so the difference in price between these models is enough to make the DW745 our “best for the money” choice. You can pick this up and get a legitimately good, portable, powerful job site saw and only trade a little in rip capacity. How much? This one has 20 inches, compared to 32.5 inches for the DWE7491RS.
The built-in rack and pinion fence system, which acts as a guide for boards that runs parallel to the blade, adjusts by hand and is both easy to use and very accurate. I learned to trust the fence and its measurements once I got the saw set up, and it made my workflow faster knowing I didn’t have to measure everything four times to double-check the DeWalt.
Your Amish neighbors think they’re so impressive, with their beards, and their shirt hooks, and their aversion to power tools. Now you’ve got a chance to show those jerks up while both of you add on to outbuildings. But your advantage—the willingness to use powered technology—will get prove your downfall if you can’t use it on site. So, you’ve hit the Internet to check out Dewalt table saw reviews to see which one will help you crush your buggy-driving neighbors.
Measuring in at 19.9 x 23.4 x 13.4 inches, the SPT70WT-01 is compact enough to fit into any aspiring handyman’s garage, but powerful enough to tackle anything you throw at it on the job site, meaning it’s an ideal entry-level table saw for the amateur hoping to turn his hobby into a career. Sturdiness, durability, and anti-kickback technology make the world’s first worm drive table saw a revolutionary machine. Satisfied buyers can’t get enough of this balanced wood-devouring behemoth.

I am looking at getting a saw, and this has helped, but still leaves a lot of confusion. most of my work would be diy projects, maybe shelving, who really know. The main reason for buying one, is I am looking to build some SUP’s. (Stand Up Paddle boards) I will be ripping 10-12′ 1/4″ strips that maybe in the 3/8″ up to 3″ range, along with re-sawing some wider planks into the 1/4″ thick, 5-6″ wide plank’s. I have been going back and forth on the Dewalt dwe7491rs vs the Delta 36-725t2 vs the comparable Ridgid. Any thoughts? the Dewalt would be nice as it packs away in a smaller space, but the delta/ridgid would also be easily moved out of the way. with the Dewalt, I would probably end up making an outfeed bench. price points they are all similar, I am just not sure what would be the best for this type of work. thanks for any input.

First off, consider how often you’ll put your table saw to use. If you work in the fields of contracting or carpentry, there’s a chance you’ll be using your new machine pretty often—so you may as well invest in a more expensive, heavy-duty table saw that’s sure to last longer than the average model. On the other hand, hobbyists and weekend woodworkers won’t need a pricey piece of machinery—a more compact and inexpensive model should do just fine, especially if you’re only working on smaller projects like birdhouses and DIY wooden models.
