Thank you for reviewing these saws, one important thing all should do before making the purchase, after reading these reviews. Once you’ve selected a saw you like from this review, look at consumer reviews of the saw you’re leaning towards buying to see what experience people have had over time using the saw. To review a saw out of the box is fine for it’s features etc., how it performs over time is also very important. There is one other, service from the manufacturer. Is the manufacturer in the habit of making models obsolete, and therefore parts can no longer be available, such as the Ridgid saw I purchased. Food for thought.

Obviously, given its size, the TruePower 01-0819 isn’t the kind of table saw you’d spring for to take on larger projects that require greater motor power — after all, it’s by no means revolutionary in the torque department. But for those who work with smaller materials or softer wood, the Gino Development TruePower 01-0819 Mini Electric Table Saw is a worthwhile, no-frills buy that’s easy on the wallet and can fit in virtually any space with plenty of room to spare.

The TruePower 01-0819 may look like a miniature version of a table saw — and that’s because it is! Ideal for hobbyist modelers and DIYers looking to tackle minor jobs, the 01-0819, while lacking the same power and performance as its larger, pricier counterparts, is a steal at under $50. A must for any toymaker’s workbench, this bite-sized machine measures in at 8.5 x 7 x 7 inches, and while it lacks important parts like a guide fence, it gets basic 1/2-inch wood or foam board cutting jobs done, slicing through softer materials with ease.
In addition to the basic build of the table saw itself, there are different types of table saws you can buy. If you’re simply looking for a table saw for your home workshop, a benchtop saw may be the best option. With this model, you’ll need to mount it to a bench. Benchtop saws are also more portable, so some professionals may keep these around for when they need to take it on the go.

What We Liked: This table saw not only rolls around your current job site, but you can easily pack it up and take it on the go with you. Despite its lightweight build, it packs plenty of durability, with a tough metal cage that keeps things sturdy while you’re working. You’ll also get a 15-Amp, 5800 RPM motor that provides both accuracy and efficiency.

The DWE7490X is a great table saw that guarantees convenience and flexibility thanks to its scissor stand. It has been exceptionally designed with a stand that makes the job easier when setting it up. Also, it combines portability and power into one very convenient table saw. Unfortunately, some will find the 87 pounds a bit of a stretch in terms of carrying it around.
In layman’s terms, a miter gauge is a device that allows users to set up the angle of the material being cut with a table saw. And while most table saws come with built-in miter gauges, others, well, don’t—which is why the Kreg KMS7102 Table Saw Precision Miter Gauge System is invaluable. Whether you’re replacing an old, worn-out gauge or putting it to use in conjunction with a table saw that didn’t come with its own proprietary gauge, the KMS7102 is specially designed with precision in mind. After all, accuracy is vital to successful woodwork.

The first step always has to be to make sure that you match a saw with your actual needs. It’s a pretty simple thing to go out and buy the biggest, angriest saw available and call it good. But your genuine needs might be modest enough that the biggest, angriest saw is also too much saw, which means that you’re just throwing away a bunch of money. The same goes for weight. If you’re a small-framed person who has difficulty lugging around heavy, bulky objects, you’ll want to tailor your saw to your frame. If you can’t use it, it’s the same thing as not owning it.
